BODY PHILOSOPHY CLUB OPENING

From the outside Body Philosophy Club looks like a vintage fashion shop but it’s soooo much more than that. “We are less interested in being a fashion business. We are more interested in how bodies respond uniquely to the feeling of being clothed, how we in our bodies choose and wear and then one day part from a garment.” They are opening a brick and mortar store and are throwing a party with tunes by DJ Matt Katt and snacks by Yo Tambien Cantina.


THE PROP HOUSE SALE

This is your chance to wander through the 15,000 sq. foot prop warehouse that has provided props for film and tv shows like The Matrix, Milk, and Sorry to Bother You. You will find everything from everyday household decor to vintage items and even the unusual dental chairs and juke boxes. DAVID HYTONE AND JOSH JEFFERSON OPENING
Gallery 16 | 501 Third Street | SF | 6-9pm
David Hytone will be showing “The Elephant And The Albatross” while Josh Jefferson will be showing “Upon a Slitted Sheet I Sit” with a DJ set by Jason Jagel for the opening. Both artists tend to blend painting with collage and walk the line of abstraction and figuration. Their work seems to be a perfect pair.

CAPTURING COLOR WITH MAGGIE PATE

This exhibition celebrates the power and simplicity of the line by pairing Windy Chien’s sculptural knot hangings with Serena Mitnik-Miller's geometric watercolors. There will be a knot tying station, an artist talk at 4pm and a courtyard concert until 7pm.

SF PRIDE WEEKEND
San Francisco Pride is one of the largest gatherings of the LGBTQ Community in the nation bringing in local and international leaders for a weekend long celebration. The Pride Parade starts at 10am on Sunday and spans from Embarcadero Center to the Civic Center Main Stage. Be sure to check SFpride.org for all the celebrations, performers and fun.
