FUZZY FEELINGS
Born from the desire to find a richer vocabulary around my feelings, Fuzzy Feelings started by taking numerous feeling readings a day by setting alarms throughout the day and identify what I was feeling in each instance. Whereas words are harder for me, color comes easily. Based on my intuition, I would find a corresponding color to represent that feeling. I soon realized I could be experiencing numerous and sometimes polar opposite feelings at one singe time. Through these works, I aim to capture a single moment in time and express the full range of emotions that were present for me.
Both Fuzzy Feelings and Spot Feelings are airbrush on canvas presented in diffusion boxes that blur the painting, symbolizing the way emotions can blend together and often become difficult to distinguish.
